Hunting field mobs (normal map monsters) is very efficient for farming mesos.

• Field Mobs are much weaker in comparison to Star Force mobs of a similar level. They give less experience, but depending on your strength you could be earning almost as much experience as some of the lower star force maps (30~40ish).
• Field Mobs don't have a daily limit unlike the mini dungeon. While you can easily one-hit kill in mini dungeon, you can't bring a party. Moreover, the level of the mobs you can hunt is limited by your own.
  • However, lvl100s can hunt Trojans (lvl150) at Lubidium's Sky Terrace (2) (just outside the star force map) for a very good meso rate, and it entirely depends on your strength whether you can hunt there or not.

Due to these reasons meso farming is preferred to be done in normal maps.
Players in the early 100s can get upto 1million mesos per hour farming Trojans at Lubidium's Sky Terrace (2).
It's not worth wasting time farming mesos before the level 100s on your main, as you're rushing to gain experience.

• You get more mesos when solo'ing if you can one-hit kill the field mobs versus being in a party. Being in a party also has its benefits, however, as you get much more experience and meso drops from your party members (although the meso amount dropped per monster is less).
• It all really comes down to personal efficiency and whether you'd like more exp with the mesos.
• Sometimes it's worth more solo'ing a much lower leveled map where you do just enough damage to one-hit kill the mobs.
